I’ve been playing, writing and recording music since I was 15. Believe it or not I once owned an          8-track recorder. Not a multitrack but that long lost musical medium of the 70’s (you know the big clunky things about the size of a paperback). I’ve played in a lot of bands and solo and we always found a way to work in our original songs. My college band, The Kids, had about five or so originals that we had in our set. The Coalition, by duet act with Eric Flanagan in the mid to late 80’s, probably was about 25% originals by the both of us. I started multitrack recording in 1986 on a Tascam four track cassette desk and now almost exclusively use GarageBand (though I still have the Tascam).
